[Please tell us about your current job]

The job involves working as a shop manager at the Sendai branch.

Basically, your main job will be to handle all aspects of store operations. Since you are managing a branch office that is far away from the head office, irregular tasks may occur.

Also, because we are not a large company with a large number of employees, in addition to simple store operations, you may also be involved in tasks that affect the entire company, such as event planning and proposals for new product planning.

[Please tell us about the appeal of Kadoya]

We have a long history since our founding in 1935, and the track record and know-how we have cultivated over that time. The nature of the motorcycle wear and leather categories requires specialized knowledge, but we believe that our long history of experience is one of our strengths.

This is due in part to the fact that we have our own factory at the head office that handles custom-made products and repairs, but I think that these are also directly related to the appeal of our products. In addition, I think that another attractive feature is that we are a company that does not rely solely on its track record, but is willing to take on challenging proposals based on that track record, depending on how enthusiastic we are.

[What is rewarding, exciting and fun about your job?]

As a customer service business, it may sound cliché, but it's when I'm convinced that the customer is happy with my proposal. Although our company has a strong focus on motorcycle wear, each customer has a different type of bike and riding style.

Recently, more and more people who don't ride motorcycles but come looking for leather jackets to wear around town are coming, so we need to be able to offer a wide range of suggestions, including functionality and styling. In addition to selling ready-made products, we also accept consultations on repairs and customization to meet individual needs, as well as original, made-to-order products, so the most rewarding part is when we can provide answers that go beyond the customer's expectations and impress them.

Another interesting aspect of the company culture is the high degree of freedom. In my case, my main job is of course the tasks that come with being a store staff member, but from a broader perspective, suggestions on things like "How can we increase store sales?" and "How can we make KADOYA better?" are generally accepted as long as they are logical.

I find it interesting to be in an environment where I have the opportunity to acquire a wide range of knowledge and skills and apply them to my work.

[Please tell us what you value most in your work]

It's about continuing to grow and keeping a broad perspective so that I can notice and think about various possibilities.

We always keep this in mind, as it leads to the discovery of various proposals within the company and also increases the likelihood of finding the best solutions and new insights when proposing solutions to customer inquiries.
