Talking about protectors

A bike cannot move on its own; it can only move when there is a rider, and a sense of unity is created.

However, as you know, riding a motorcycle also carries the risk of falling.

Falling is a risk, but protectors exist to reduce the damage to your body.

A protector that protects your body in the event of a fall.

However, I would like to talk about the fact that the protector itself is not damaged by falling, and that it has a certain lifespan.

First of all, protectors made of polyurethane, which is flexible and has a high protection effect, cannot avoid deterioration over time due to hydrolysis, heat, UV rays, etc.

If the protector itself cracks or collapses when you bend it, it has reached the end of its lifespan.

Kadoya, a specialized manufacturer of leather jackets

Also, the two-layer sponge pad we use for our jackets is highly durable, but it naturally has a limited lifespan.

Two sponges with different hardness are fixed together with adhesive, so if you use it for a long time, there may be cases where the sponge deteriorates and peels off, or the adhesive starts to melt and stick to the lining.

Leather jackets can be used for a long time if there is no major damage from falls and if they are regularly maintained by brushing, oiling, and cleaning, but we recommend periodic replacement of protectors to maintain their original performance.

It is a protector that protects the body, but in order to avoid a situation where its performance deteriorates and you are unable to demonstrate its original power in an emergency, I think it is safe to remove it from your jacket or pants and check it every season. .

It's a good season, so I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable bike life.
