reunion
Hello, this is Harada.
The heavy snow that fell in January was reported to be about 20 cm in Tokyo.
Apparently 30cm of snow was piled up in front of my home in Kawasaki.
Since then, the snow hasn't completely melted yet due to the cold weather.
When I commute by bike early in the morning, the temperature is below freezing...
On top of "It's cold!" there's "It's cold, it hurts, it's numbing cold!" . .
I am acutely aware of this these days.
Well, this blog is a bit personal, so I apologize for the inconvenience.
About TRIUMPH RACER, reunited after several years
Let me tell you.
1969 model
TRIUMPH TR6R TIGER 650
Originally I rode it for city riding.
I got it 23 years ago when I was 24 years old.
This is my first TRIUMPH.
At that time, TRIUMPH was not as valuable as it is now.
Those were good times.
Back when there were no mass motorcycle retailers.
This bike is sold at Ueno's bike parts street.
I was able to purchase it for about 1/3 to 1/4 of the current price.
I joined Kadoya 16 years ago at the age of 31.
A few years later, I got a second bike different from this one.
Get a 1950 TRIUMPH 6T THUNDERBIRD
I was participating in a classic bike race, but...
It's a 1950 model after all.
It's been heavily used every time I participate in races.
I feel so bad
I decided to tune this later-model TR6R into a race vehicle.
Separate engine with iron head, from rigid frame THUNDERBIRD
Aluminum head unit engine, swing arm TR6R.
After changing the vehicle, the concept was “Super fast TRIUMPH”
Regardless of the parts made in the UK, from the engine to the intake and exhaust, transmission, and clutch.
Brakes, forks, etc., handlebars, tanks, seats, etc.
Things get more and more exciting with Mr. Oishi from TRIDE MOTORCYCLES
Before I knew it, I was able to modify everything except the frame. . .
Yes, only the frame is the same as the vehicle I got.
With my wish, I managed to survive.
The TR6R has been finished, transformed, and reborn.
It runs even faster than it looks
He became a ``violent person'' that I, who was inexperienced and lacked training, couldn't handle.
Still, the period of time I have been competing with this bike is
Wearing a racing suit that you made yourself
Kadoya also supports us every time we participate.
I felt a sense of accomplishment and joy along with a sense of nervousness.
It was a fulfilling and fun day.
December 2014, MCFAJ Clubman Road Race 4th Final Round
After falling and crashing in the final, my car was damaged.
Just as I was about to make repairs and try again.
From the following year, my living environment changed completely due to various circumstances.
Let alone racing activities
Without even having time to repair the damaged machine
I have been keeping my car at TRIDE for about 3 years now.
Moved from TRIDE warehouse to store
Started repairing
Visit a store to decide on a position
When I met the machine again after a long time
remember various things
There was something that really struck me.
It's self-congratulatory, but
After all, it was a great machine that I fell in love with.
When will I ride this racer again?
With TRIDE RACING TEAM members
I don't know if I can participate in the race.
I hope this bike comes back soon
As a craftsman, I will continue to create LEATHER WEAR.
I think it will give you strong emotional support and increase your motivation.
