KADOYA STORY Vol.3-Craftsman's Language

It was a year before I graduated from "Shokunin-go", but I couldn't miss the chance anymore.

simply because it's cool

I joined the company in 2012, so this is my fifth year. After graduating from high school, I worked as a part-timer for a year, and then entered Kadoya after attending a fashion school.

When I was a freeter, I happened to find Kadoya's job posting once, but it was closed while I was confused...

I was originally interested in Kadoya, so I tried to inquire about it, but it didn't work, so I decided to study for the time being.

I went to the interview thinking I would quit school if I passed the exam, but luckily I was hired, but the factory manager told me to come after graduating properly, so I had to wait a year. I was.

I was grateful. The reason I chose Kadoya is simply because I thought it was cool. Both leather jackets and craftsmen.

I've been riding motorcycles since I was 16, but I didn't think about leather jackets at the time, so I thought I'd wait until I was a little older.

But when I heard that my friend bought a leather jacket around the time I graduated from high school, I became interested in it. My father also rides a motorcycle, so when I asked him where he would like a leather jacket, he said, "Kadoya, isn't it?"

That's when I first learned of Kadoya's existence. That's why I came here (Kadoya head office) to buy it. I remember the day after graduating from high school, I bought it with various explanations.

It was the first suit in my life.

Any kind of leather jacket is fine, but I like the ones for riders, not just Kadoya.

My hobby is to wear a stiff leather jacket every day and get used to it (laughs). My father and mother both rode motorcycles, and they were always at home, so I had a vague idea that one day I would ride one too.

My hometown is Ome in Tokyo, but I heard that there are places where you can't get a license at a private high school, so I went to a metropolitan high school.

The first bike I rode was a monkey that I had at home, and the one I saved up and bought myself was a Jade. The next thing I bought was the CB1100 that I'm riding now. I hesitated with W800,

I thought four shots would be good.

I really wanted the CB1100F because I like the classic naked, but I thought it would be difficult to maintain the old one.

I'm not good at messing with it... (laughs).

My father has a CB750F and many other things. I bought an NSR out of the blue, and I fixed the old DT that my grandpa used to drive and brought it home.

Back to work, there are currently 14 craftsmen in the factory, most of whom are in their 40s, and the rest are more experienced craftsmen.

At first, I started making small items like bag straps for someone like my master.

What I learned at school was the basics of the basics, and in the first place I was working with fabrics and cloth, and I had never touched leather.

After about four to five months, I was able to sew the main body of the bag, and after about a year, I was able to sew a leather jacket, but I still have a hard time assessing the quality of the leather.

Each piece of leather has wrinkles and wrinkles.

Generally, it is said that the quality of the leather for the buttocks is good, but if you take that only seriously, it is possible that the leather will be full of wrinkles. Needless to say, everyone is good at sewing and everything. I can't catch up and overtake, but I'm doing my best to be on par with them.

However, there is a limit to what I can see and steal, so I've been bombarding myself with questions lately. It might be troublesome (laughs), but if I don't do that, I won't be able to catch up.

It's not that I don't have my own goals and dreams, but I think it's a story after catching up with the seniors first.

Oh yeah, it seems like I don't get many chances to ride these days,

Actually, my grandpa also rides a motorcycle. I used to come to my parents' house often. I'm 77 years old now and I'm driving a W1, and the other day I said that I passed the vehicle inspection.

Maybe that's where I'm influenced. Even though my parents and children have been touring, I haven't heard much about 3rd generation touring, so I think I'll give it a try (laughs).
