The concept of this item dates back to 2015, five years ago.

At that time, it was based on the product design materials I had prepared when I joined the company, and it was an approach to pattern design that mainly expanded the range of motion of the sleeves in the vertical direction.

I'm sure you've all felt cramped when riding a motorcycle in ordinary clothes, as if your arms were stretched out or your upper arms were tightened.

Before I joined Kadoya, I used to ride off-road cars instead of my current favorite XSR900-based cafe racer. (I want freedom around the base of the arm...) I remember the feeling. This is a concept design based on such a real-life experience.

The red jacket on the left is in 2015, and the one on the right is the initial design I drew in February 2019.

The design on the surface has changed a lot, and the hoodie style (the hood is detachable) is reminiscent of ease of movement and roughness.

Talk about a little maniac riding posture...

When you raise your arms to grasp the handle, the base of your sleeves and shoulders will rise, your chest will narrow, and your back will widen.

Since the simple structure of the traditional riders cannot cover the changes in posture caused by riding,

It has a novel shape and position of the base of the sleeve that is completely different from before. (Boundary between yellow and gray parts)

The bottom part of the sleeve, called the bottom of the pot, has been changed to a shape that gives room and strength when stretched.

The armpit parts extend straight up to the sleeves, eliminating tension on the armpits and making it easier to raise the arms. In order to cover not only up and down but also back and forth arm movements, the entire sleeves are shaped to gently curve forward. has become

The approach to [movement] that was envisioned at the beginning will be finished in a more effective and rational form.

We have a head office factory that is full of many years of know-how, and I feel that the challenge to riders was made possible because the head office functions, including the planning office, are packed in one place.


The meaning of using a combination of fabric and leather

Over the past five years, I have been thinking about various clothes for riding a motorcycle, and have deepened my understanding of the characteristics of each material.

"Leather is Kadoya's icon. However , there are some functions that cannot be covered by leather alone, and in recent years I have been thinking that it is necessary to actively incorporate new materials and functions.

In particular, this U-SCR is a project that started with an approach to [movement].

Therefore, not only the simple idea of ​​stretch and shrinkage, but also the ease of wear and movement due to the change in thickness of each part and the overall weight reduction are taken into consideration. I use it for parts.

In fact, the sleeves are sufficiently forward even without stretching. However, in the unlikely event that an emergency evasion is necessary, you should not push yourself due to lack of momentum.

When making a model with action pleats at Kadoya, we secure the amount of movement even without pleats, but in addition, we add pleats in the sense of having the amount of momentum to move in case of emergency.

Therefore, instead of leather, a stretchy fabric is used, and high-density nylon is preferable, considering that the armpits will rub.

As Kadoya, I would like to focus on "creating new values" that innovate motorcycle clothes rather than the opinion that "because it is Kadoya, you have to use leather all over."

With that in mind, while working hard with various staff in the company,
