If you want to do something, take action. This is a company that will give you a proper response.

[Tell us about your current job.]

I am in charge of a wide range of sales and marketing activities, including domestic and international sales, e-commerce site operation, and web marketing.

・Sales duties

When I first joined the company, I worked in domestic sales, visiting our business partners nationwide who handle Kadoya products to introduce products and support their sales. Since customer demographics and needs vary by region and store, I tried to understand the situation through conversations with our business partners and propose suitable products and sales methods for each.

Later, I also worked on new overseas sales. I built relationships with new business partners while researching local markets, rider needs, and business practices, leading to expansion into Taiwan and South Korea. The products required and how to convey the brand differ between domestic and overseas markets. I have been engaged in sales activities while considering how to communicate the value of Kadoya's long-cultivated technology, quality, and "Made in Japan" to local people.

I have also been involved in OEM sales, manufacturing products at the request of other companies. I carefully listen to the customer's desired product image, use, and specifications, and then consider how to realize them utilizing Kadoya's technology and production background. My role is to connect business partners with the head office factory and bring customer requests to life as actual products.

Furthermore, I was involved in the Tokyo Motorcycle Show, which was Kadoya's first exhibition, and the Taiwan Motorcycle Show. Introducing products directly at the venue and gauging the reactions of customers and industry stakeholders is also a part of sales activities, leading to increased brand recognition and new business.

・E-commerce / Web Marketing Duties

As I continued my sales activities, I strongly felt the potential of e-commerce sites, and gradually shifted my focus to e-commerce-related tasks with the aim of improving operational efficiency from order reception to shipping, and enhancing the quality of customer service.

In operating the e-commerce site, I handle tasks such as product information posting, order management, inquiry response, and shipping adjustments. To ensure that customers who find it difficult to visit stores can choose products with confidence, I emphasize clearly communicating product features, sizing, and functionality.

In addition to domestic sales, I also worked on making the e-commerce site cross-border compatible, creating an environment where Kadoya products can be sold to customers worldwide. Since languages, payment methods, shipping, customs duties, and other circumstances differ by country and region, I have built mechanisms one by one to ensure that overseas customers can purchase with confidence.

What was particularly impressive after starting cross-border e-commerce was the unexpectedly large response from customers in the United States. Currently, sales to the United States are second only to Japan, and I feel that Kadoya's products and craftsmanship are being accepted across countries and cultures. Knowing the reactions and purchasing trends of overseas customers is valuable information for future product development and information dissemination.

I believe that an e-commerce site is not merely a place to sell products. We constantly strive to improve the customer experience, from before purchase to after receiving the product, by considering what information customers need and where they feel uneasy or unclear.

In web marketing, I am engaged in disseminating information online to make Kadoya known, including planning and operating web advertisements and video editing. We are devising ways to showcase advertisements and videos to convey their appeal not only to those who have known Kadoya for a long time, but also to those who are new to the brand or who have just started to take an interest in leather jackets.

In addition, to create new points of contact between customers and Kadoya, I was involved in the planning, development, and release of our own app. I considered the necessary functions and usability and collaborated with internal and external stakeholders to bring it to life as a service.

Combining customer and business partner feedback obtained through sales with data from e-commerce sites and web advertisements, and applying this to the next initiative, is also an important part of my job. We are delivering the appeal of Kadoya to customers around the world through various methods, unconstrained by physical stores, dealers, or domestic and international boundaries.

[What are Kadoya's appeals?]

My first encounter with the company was when I was involved with Kadoya as a sales representative at an advertising agency where I previously worked. Even then, I had the impression that it was "an interesting company with a long history, yet flexible in its thinking, and with young employees active on the front lines."

My impression has not changed since I actually joined the company. It is a company that cherishes the technology and brand passed down through the years, while actively taking on new sales methods and information dissemination. Regardless of age or length of service, if you propose "I want to try it" with a sound reason, the company will seriously consider it.

Assignments and departments may change according to one's wishes and aptitude, allowing for a variety of experiences rather than being limited to a single task. I myself have expanded my work from domestic sales to overseas sales, OEM sales, e-commerce site operation, app development, exhibition participation, web advertising, and video editing.

I believe that the unique appeal of this company is that each employee not only preserves tradition but also considers and shapes what is necessary for the future of Kadoya.

[What do you find rewarding, exciting, and interesting about your job?]

At the advertising agency, I supported clients' products and services from an external perspective. In contrast, at Kadoya, we conceptualize products ourselves, produce them in our own factory, and deliver them to customers in our own words. The environment where I can be consistently involved from planning to manufacturing, sales, and after-sales service was very fresh for me, as I had only experienced working at an agency.

I feel a great sense of fulfillment and pride in being able to deliver products that I truly believe in to customers, while closely experiencing the creators' passion and the background behind the product's completion.

Also, while sales, e-commerce, and web marketing may seem like different jobs, they are all connected by the question, "How do we deliver Kadoya's products and appeal to those who need them?"

The interesting part of this job is being able to reflect opinions heard from sales representatives in e-commerce site improvements, utilize reactions to web advertisements for the next project, and connect feedback from exhibitions to new sales activities. By being involved in multiple tasks, I can consider challenges that are difficult to see from a single perspective from various angles.

I felt a great sense of accomplishment when new overseas sales led to expansion into Taiwan and South Korea, when our own app was released, and when I could directly feel customer reactions at the Tokyo and Taiwan Motorcycle Shows.

The greatest pleasure of this job is that my proposals and actions create new sales channels and customer contact points, expanding Kadoya's possibilities.

[What do you value most in your work?]

I value approaching my work with the perspective of "Can we do better?" without being bound by past methods.

In sales, e-commerce, and web marketing, it is essential to consider things from the other party's perspective. I strive to understand what customers and business partners are looking for and what information would allow them to choose products with confidence, and then communicate Kadoya's appeal using methods suitable for each.

Furthermore, to implement new initiatives, it is important not to proceed based on mere ideas, but to organize the necessity and expected effects, and communicate them to others with supporting evidence. Since few tasks can be completed alone, I am conscious of advancing projects by sharing objectives with many people, including various internal departments such as stores and factories, and business partners.

I want to continue to cherish what Kadoya has accumulated over the years while constantly thinking of better ways to adapt to changing times and customers. I will not forget this attitude and will actively take on new challenges.
