About ARAI HELMET
Arai Helmet Co., Ltd. is a Japanese helmet manufacturer headquartered in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture. Founded in 1902, the company originally started as a hat shop and began producing work helmets in 1937. In 1950, the company was incorporated, and Arai Hirotake, who was also a motorcycle rider, began producing his own motorcycle helmets. Since then, the Arai name has spread with the development of motorsports.
The company specializes in the manufacture of motorcycle and car racing helmets, with a particular strength in full-face helmets. The design features a ventilation mechanism that utilizes wind pressure while riding a motorcycle, making them comfortable to wear even in the summer.
The company also has strict safety standards, and by using JIS standards, SNELL standards, and its own "ARAI standard," it is further improving the safety of its helmets. It also participated in the formulation of "FIA 8860-2018-ABP" established by the International Automobile Federation (FIA).
