Daily Life at the Nagoya Store (Episode 14) The Story of Battle Suits

Here we bring you some informative stories from the store manager, Kita, and new employee, Shirasawa, that are snippets from everyday life at the Nagoya store.

Episode 14: The Story of Battle Suits

Shirasawa That's amazing, it definitely has a cosplay feel to it.
Kita Right? This is the battle suit in question.
Doesn't it have an end-of-the-century feel to it?

※Battle Suit 1 JAC&PANTS (boots are ready-made: Black Shield)

Shirasawa This may be a little late, but what does "end of the century feeling" mean?
This is a phrase I sometimes hear from Manager Kita.
Kita

fart?
In the Gregorian calendar, a century is a unit of 100 years, and the 20th century was from 1901 to 2000. The end of a century is called the end of the century. At the time, there was the Y2K problem with personal computers and Nostradamus' great prophecy, and some people seriously thought the world was going to end.

I think Mad Max and Fist of the North Star are examples of entertainment that turn this chaotic world view, filled with anxiety and madness, into entertainment.

Shirasawa Is it a story of violence and heated battles unfolding in a devastated world?
Kita Well, that's true. At the time there were movies like Terminator and AKIRA, and there was a lot of entertainment with that kind of worldview.
I guess it's ingrained in me.
Shirasawa I see. So that's why you have a mohawk?
Kita Hahaha. Well, not that there isn't even a millimeter of it. No, it's not.

I like the end-of-the-century feel that is overflowing from the current models of the Hammer Boots Short and Hammer Gloves (A). (Kita's inner voice)

Shirasawa The phrase "new century" is more familiar to me.
Kita

I see, "End of the Century" doesn't seem to appeal much to young people. Too bad.

Oh, that's right. Just to be clear, you can still order the Battle Suit.

Shirasawa Is that so?
Kita

Yes. However, unlike normal orders, there are restrictions, so please check when the time comes. Basically, you cannot make any changes to the default specifications, with some exceptions.

Also, only people with mohawks can order it!

Shirasawa What?! It's a lie that only people with mohawks can order it , right?!
Kita

Did you notice? You can wear your hair however you like (laughs).

However, it is true that there are specification constraints, and because they have been made for many years, minor changes are made to keep up with the times, so you need to be careful when placing an order.
By the way, the sample is of the mid-range model.

Shirasawa

Hmm, this is the first time I've seen it, so I'm not sure what "mid-term specification" means...

It was impressive, and I could tell that it was still available to order.

Kita

Come to think of it, I haven't seen many customers coming into the store in battle suits lately. I don't see them much in the city, but when I talked to a customer who ordered a battle suit before, he said, "I see them a lot, so I thought they were cool and decided to order one." It's strange.

Shirasawa Birds of a feather flock together, but aren't there similarities in the way customers who are interested in battle suits think and act?
Kita

That may be true. Not just for the Battle Suit, but I think the factor of "recommended by a friend" accounts for a surprisingly large proportion of the reasons why people choose Kadoya.

Let's both strive to provide honest service to our customers every day.

Shirasawa

yes.

By the way, are there any other products besides the battle suits that aren't in the catalog but can be ordered?

Kita

Yes, there are. We have heritage models such as Godspeed and Black Star, both of which can be fully custom-made.

The details are listed in old catalogs, so be sure to check them out.

Shirasawa I see. As it has a long history, there are many things to consider.
Kita

I am weaving Kadoyaism through conversations with Shirasawa-kun. And I will pass on the sash to make Kadoya last even longer.

Shirasawa-kun, you're no longer a "newcomer" anymore. If you ever have a junior, please tell them the same thing.

Shirasawa

got it.

However, if you have any questions or concerns, please continue to give me advice.

Kita

Yeah.

Now, you see the customer.

(Door opening sound)

Kita
Ah, I see a customer.
Shirasawa
welcome!
Kita
welcome!
