About material
oiled vintage steer
Tannin-tanned materials made from natural materials develop a texture the more they are used, and are described as having a ``shiny bottom'', but on the other hand, they have low elongation and elasticity, and are susceptible to rain and other water.
Chrome tanning, on the other hand, does not have the same texture as tannin, but it is soft and strong, and is water resistant, making it suitable for clothing. In order to achieve both of these goals, ``Oiled Vintage Stare'' has established a ``de-chrome/mixed tanning'' technique that involves chrome tanning, then removing half of the chromium component, and then applying tannin tanning.
Furthermore, by adding a small amount of chrome tanning agent to the taste of astringent tanned leather rich in plasticity, it increases suppleness and physical property fastness. Furthermore, an appropriate amount of oil is penetrated, and combined with the aniline dye finish on the surface, it has a more transparent feel and smoother slip. Expressing a unique taste.
From the moment you put it on, you can feel the sense of unity that spreads over your body and the suppleness that retains the unique firmness of tannins.
- Notes on leather -
*Oiled vintage steer is a highly plastic leather. Please note that if large wrinkles or scratches remain when trying on the item, you may not be able to return it.
About maintenance
In order to prevent damage and improve the condition, it is important to take care of it on a regular basis, just like our skin. Here, we will introduce a self-maintenance method for using leather products for a long time.
(When using maintenance agents such as cleaners and oils, be sure to test in an inconspicuous area and confirm that there is no staining or discoloration before using.)
step 1
Use a horsehair brush to remove dirt and dust from the surface of the leather. Don't forget to brush the seams as well. If the stain is severe, wipe the leather surface with a wet towel that has been tightly wrung out.
step 2
Remove the Ref / LEATHER CLEANER through the cloth (cloth) until your fingers are slightly damp. When the cleaner dries, apply an appropriate amount to the cloth again.
step 3
Wipe the entire leather in several batches. By doing this work, you can get closer to the state of no makeup on your skin. Dirt and color are transferred to the cloth, but this is proof that the old oil and dirt that has migrated have been removed.
step 4
The finish is divided into matte finish, natural finish, and glossy finish depending on the oil characteristics, so please choose the oil you like.
step 5
Apply the oil of your choice to the clean side of the cloth. Take small amounts of oil.
step 6
Apply the oil while spreading it thinly so that it fits the entire leather. If you don't have enough oil, add little by little.
Step 7
Brush the entire leather with a horsehair brush to absorb the nutrients of the oil. For large areas, it is efficient to use a large brush. At that time, we recommend using a brush different from the dust remover.
Step 8
From here, I would like to recommend "one effort" for those who want to be more particular about finishing. Wipe the whole with the mouton side of the mouton glove. By wiping with a dry cloth, excess oil remaining on the surface is removed to prevent stickiness.
step 9
Finally, wipe the whole with the suede side of the mouton glove. Polishing the leather on the suede side gives it a high-quality luster. By using the finished mouton gloves, the oil will blend in and the taste will increase, and you can enjoy aging.
About cleaning
We offer a specialized leather cleaning service called ``Refleather''.
What is Refresher?
The new common sense is to wash leather products before wearing them.
The traditional method of cleaning leather products in Japan has been dry cleaning using chlorinated solvents.
While this removes dirt, there are also cases in which the color fades and the oil content from the leather is removed, and using a fatliquoring agent to replace the lost fat content can result in an unnatural or unpleasant stickiness. There was a problem.
Ref Leather uses a special soap specifically for leather, and can be washed with water as well as dry. The important thing here is to remove dirt and replenish nutrients, including lost fat. This will restore suppleness and elasticity, allowing you to once again appreciate the gentleness and strength that leather originally possessed.
You can wash all kinds of leather products (genuine leather), including leather jackets, leather overalls, pants, coats, skirts, and boots. It is also possible to clean colored models that were avoided with conventional cleaning.
Caution
- Natural leather has scratches, wrinkles, blood vessels and pore marks, uneven coloring, and color shading that are inherent to animal skin. Please understand this as a unique charm of leather.
- Chrome solvent is used to tan the leather. Please refrain from using if you have allergies.
- Mold is likely to grow in hot and humid environments, so please avoid moisture during storage and after use.
- Avoid washing leather products at home, and ask a cleaning shop that specializes in leather to do the washing.
- This product is designed based on standard Japanese sizes, but there are individual differences in body shape, so please check the size chart carefully.
- Product photos have been processed to match the actual color as closely as possible, but the color may differ from the actual product depending on your monitor settings, room lighting, etc.
- Metal parts may generate heat due to friction such as when falling. Wear innerwear to prevent the metal parts from coming into contact with your skin.
- This product is a fashion item. This is not a protective suit.
- Please do not use it for purposes other than its intended purpose, such as using it as a weapon or eating it.
What is HEAD FACTORY?
Founded in 1935, in Asakusa, Tokyo, we have continuously nurtured our craftsmanship in making leather jackets.
This commitment is our proud philosophy that plays a part in Japanese manufacturing. The origin of HEAD FACTORY is the "skill" and "enthusiasm" cultivated by Kadoya craftsmen.
And this is my thoughts to all those who love leather jackets and motorcycles. We continue to create clothes that can be worn for generations without being swept away by the times.
HEAD FACTORY KADOYA MADE IN JAPAN
Embracing the craftsmen's passion in the brand tag, Kadoya's path to "better manufacturing"
the night before
Kadoya's craftsmen, who have been making leather jackets for a long time as a made-to-order leather shop, have accumulated technology that can respond to all needs over time.
As the world entered an era of mass production and mass consumption, the trend shifted toward ready-made clothes. In the midst of turbulent times, the skilled craftsmen led by Masataka Fukano, the second generation of the company, continued the custom-made production, while behind the scenes the development of ready-made clothes also started.
In 2003, the domestic brand "HEAD FACTORY", which was particular about "sewing one piece per person" as if going against the times, was transposed to the production of ready-made clothes. It was launched at the factory in the head office building in Asakusa.
